At the heart of Nannyland’s mission is Amaka Unaka—a passionate advocate for families, trusted care, and intentional transitions. As a mother to two young daughters, she understands firsthand the relief, trust, and freedom that come with finding the right caregiver. Having a nanny has allowed her to parent with more presence, pursue her career confidently, and build a rhythm at home rooted in support—not stress.
With a professional background as a school administrator, licensed counselor, and Big 4 change management consultant, Amaka brings a rare blend of emotional insight and strategic structure to the nanny placement process. She knows what it takes to guide people through meaningful life transitions—and uses that expertise to ensure families find caregivers who are both capable and connected.
A proud graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Chicago, Amaka leads Nannyland with a commitment to care, consistency, and communication. Her goal? That every family experiences a placement that feels not just professional—but personal.
